The Black Achievers Society of Greater Kansas City continues to play a vital role in the development of highly deserving youth, and increasingly, in the alignment with corporate sponsors in the attainment of their business goals. BAS continues to deliver on its’ primary objective of helping deserving minority students realize their dream of a college education. However, we believe getting these students into college is just one part of a larger need. We strive to prepare them to thrive both in college, and afterwards, as a professional.
Statistics tell us that since the year 2000, average tuition and fees at private National Universities have increased 157%, out-of-state tuition has increased 194% and in-state tuition and fees at public National Universities have grown 237%. These statistics clearly indicate the need for the Black Achievers Society of Greater Kansas City and our mission. Supporting us demonstrates a joint commitment to education, our youth, and our community.
